Lieser
The castle lies in the village Lieser which belongs to the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhijnland-Palts. The village is named after the river Lieser that flows into the Moselle. About 1300 people have settled in Lieser. The village lies close to Bernkastel-Keus (approximately 6 minutes away when you travel by car), a well-known village amongst tourists.
Despite all the tourism around Lieser, the village itself has remained to be a typical wine village. People who visit Lieser can therefore feel the cosiness and the ambience of the village. The unique location along the Moselle river and the many vineyards that are present, make it into a wonderful experience.
The surroundings of Lieser offer various walking paces for those who like hiking. Whether you like to climb a path along the

Bernkastel-Keus, Trier and the Vulkaneifel are in close proximity of Lieser when travel by car. Nevertheless, a visit by bike is also possible. Do not forget a trip by boat for an ideal vacation. If you travel by train the nearest train station to get aboard is at Wittlich. From there you can travel to Lieser by bus.
